• Are vitamins from plants that when ingested with food in our bodies are transformed into vitamin A.

What are carotenoids?
• Activate the defense systems of the skin, promoting their protection against ultraviolet rays.

• The beta-carotene, by themselves, possess antioxidant properties beneficial to help combat free radical activity and prevent the damage they can do in our body, also stimulate the immune response and protect the skin redness and damage by ultraviolet radiation.

• Similarly stimulate the formation of melanin and therefore help us to get dark.

Where is the beta-carotene:

• Primarily beta-carotene found in those fruits and vegetables that are yellow, orange or red, but are also very abundant in vegetables such as vine leaves, cabbage, parsley and turnips.

How to consume beta-carotene:

• The beta-carotene is found naturally in plants, being especially abundant in carrots, red peppers, vine leaves, moniatos, turnips, parsley, kelp, dandelion, watercress and cantaloupe.

• But you can also take the form of pearls that are often combined with vitamin E and zinc to boost its effects.

• We recommend taking them in the spring and summer, to activate the defense systems of the skin to ultraviolet radiation.
