The temperature can be measured in three body parts with use thermometer :
* Mouth: Place the thermometer under the tongue and close your mouth. Breathe through your nose and use the lips to hold the thermometer tightly in place. Leave the thermometer in the mouth for three minutes or until it beeps the device.
* Rectum: This method is for infants and toddlers who are not able to hold a thermometer in the mouth for sure. Lubricate the bulb of the thermometer with petroleum jelly. Place the child face down on a flat surface or lap.Spread the buttocks and insert the bulb end of the thermometer a little more than 1 to 2 cm (1 / 2 to 1 ‘) into the anal canal, taking care not to insert too.
Do not allow the child from struggling, since this can accidentally push the thermometer in further. Remove the thermometer after three minutes or when you hear the signal electronics.
* Armpit: Place the thermometer in the armpit with the arm pressed against the body for 5 minutes before reading. This is the least accurate method for using a glass thermometer.
