Symptoms of Kidney Cancer

 Kidney CancerMost kidney cancers grow without causing any pain or discomfort. Some kidney cancers are discovered before they begin to cause symptoms. When symptoms are present, renal cell carcinoma can cause a variety of unusual symptoms that could not be related to the kidney. This type of tumor commonly spreads to nearby veins and may cause congestion or obstruction in the veins. The tumor may also produce too much of one or more hormones produced within the kidney. Symptoms may be the result of a lump in the same kidney of venous obstruction or chemical or hormonal effects due to cancer stay in the body. Some symptoms include:

* Blood in the urine (hematuria)
* Abdominal pain
* Lump or swelling (swelling), abnormal side or abdomen
* Constant feeling of tiredness (fatigue)
* Weight loss
* Unexplained fever
* Enlarged lymph nodes
* In men, a collection of enlarged veins in the scrotum (called a varicocele)
* High blood pressure and difficult to control
* Difficulty breathing or leg pain caused by blood clots
* Abdominal swelling due to fluid accumulation (ascites)
* Bones that fracture easily
